From a student:
"What does psychedelia have to do with psychedelics?"
Yourdictionary.com defines psychedelia as "psychedelic drugs or anything associated with their use" Psychedelic drugs are the same as the mind-altering drugs we talking about in the convocation. They change a users perception of reality often resulting in hallucination, delusions, or intensifying a users awareness of his or her surroundings. These drugs are dangerous because a user is unable to make decisions or function when on a "trip". We mentioned that deaths typically occur because of the user's behavior while using the drug. (Such as jumping off a building thinking he/she can fly) Psychedelics include LSD, marajuana, mushrooms, and mescaline.
